Flashback.

{Ryan's POV}

The flash was followed by a thunderous boom that shook the entire school. It did not take a genius to know something very bad had happened. "Take your siblings to the secure rooms!" Firmly, I ordered. "I'll be right behind you!"

"You better be." Worried, Jenny countered.

I ran out into the hall to find my sword, Asura already flying into my hand. Out one window, I saw a huge dark opening in the bright morning sky! It was a rift breach; rips in time and space that open portals to parallel worlds! "Fuck! This is disastrous!" Worried, I cursed. "We need to close that thing before whatever is on the other side comes out!"

Then Elvira Strange, the head witch called over the speaker system, "All students report to the secure rooms!" Urgently, she ordered. "This is not a drill! We are under attack!"

That was ten years ago... Now I found myself...
