Sighing, you remove the necklace and hand it back to the saleslady.
"It's just too expensive, I can't afford that." You mutter.
As you turn around, you run right into Sarah. She had sneaked up behind you while you were trying on the necklace.
"So you're not going to but the necklace?" Sarah asked slyly.
"No I'm afraid not," You reply glumly.
"That's too bad," Sarah answers condescendingly.
Approaching the counter, Sarah gets the saleslady's attention. As the woman approaches, you hear Sarah laughing to herself.
"Excuse me, but I would like to buy that emerald necklace," Sarah tells the saleslady.
"Excellent choice, I hope this won't cause a rift in your friendship," The saleswoman replies as she rings up the necklace.
"I doubt that it will, I just wish I had a boyfriend to take me to Prom so I could show this off." Sarah sighed.
You glumly walk out of Morganville. Why did Sarah have to be so mean? She was always doing things like that, just because her parents were rich and gave her a credit card. Waiting outside, you feel a tingle in your chest. Looking down, you see that your navy blue tank top was now a blue and white baseball jersey.
Something wasn't right about this situation, but you weren't entirely sure what to do.
