After wolfing everything, he stood up and went to his room, without thanking his mother for all her work.
Going to his room, he passed near his father... And he felt that something was not right. He couldn't describe the sensation, so he just shrugged and went to get ready for school.
But at school he felt again that strange sensation, especially when he was near somebody. Again, the shrugged off the sensation: why bother about it when you are the alpha? Maybe it was only envy. He was the biggest and most muscular one; everybody should be envy of him.
Without thinking anymore about that, he went on and then returned home, after a stop to the gym.
But during the week this strange sensation was always there, around him like an aura. Every time, when he was near somebody he could feel it there, stronger and stronger.
The sensation he was feeling was the start of Xan's revenge. He was proud being the biggest one? Not anymore. Xan was literally enlarging humankind, making it taller. Everybody, except Caleb. He started slow, less than an inch per day. After a week, everybody would 6 inches taller, then 1 foot, 2 feet and so on, till Caleb changes his mind.
After a week, Caleb noticed (finally) these changes; he wasn't towering as usual above his family: his father was 6'1, his mother 5'11, and his little bratty brother 5'6. He was still the bigger one, but the size disparity was reducing quite fast. Even at school he wasn't the biggest anymore: there were some students taller than him, reaching and surpassing 7 feet mark in height, his girlfriend was as tall as him. The shortest one was a 6'3 student. Now the average height in the US was 6'4, Caleb now was a perfect average student.
The strangest thing was that anybody wasn't noticing anything. He hoped this growth thing end soon. He couldn't bear the idea of becoming the smallest one ever.
Unfortunately for him, he was only the beginning. Xan made the growth accelerate: now everybody would grow more than an inch per day.
The third day after the "growth-acceleration", Caleb saw his fear come real. Now his father was taller (again) than him at 6'6.The fifth day, it was his mother's turn to surpass him, and the seventh day his stupid brother became 6'6. Now he was the shortest one his family.
At school it was even worse. With the average height of 7'4 in US, Caleb became the dwarf of the school. There were lots of students already 8 feet tall and taller, his girlfriend now stood 7'5. Even the principal, a really short woman now stood 6'6. And still nobody didn't notice anything. everything was changing too to accommodate this bigger beings.
When he tried to talk with his girlfriend about it, he only received a hug and a kiss on his head. "You shouldn't feel ashamed about your height Caleb, I love you just the way you are". He noticed that everybody was friendlier with him, maybe because they were feeling pity about his short stature?
At the end of the week His father was 7'1, his mother 6'11 and his brother 6'6. Why was it happening to him? Now he couldn't do anything, he had to obey again to his parents rules, like making breakfast for himself, wash dishes sometimes after meals. His girlfriend was becoming more dominant, deciding everything about their sexual life and everything else.
He was losing every bit of power he had. The only thing remaining bigger than usual was his muscles. At the gym he as still going strong, lifting more than some 7'7 guys. They started calling him "Mini-Arnold", he was hating it, but could let himself lose that small respect he still had in the gym.
Xan was quite pleased about it, but now? Caleb was still showing resistance, especially because he was muscular. Maybe he could change even that.
