Some time had passed since Morinth had agreed to her mother’s deal, and said deal had begun to have an affect on her body. She did as she was told, and went on ground missions when requested, but the rest of her time she spent stuffing her face as “ordered”. Fattening, high calorie foods from across the galaxy were fed to her to keep her sedentary, but whenever they needed her to have energy, their scientist Salarian would give her some kind of pill that would temperaraly restore her energy so she could fight, or minor doses so she could do chores on the ship. They even had him make a special powed they sprinkled in all her food to make it extra fattening, too.
Samara and Shepard’s plan was ultimately thought up to make Morinth useful in the fight against the Collectors, and to also remove the threat to her being an Ardat Yakshi, which was working great. However, they also hoped Morinth getting fat would humiliate her, which it did not.
