Chapter #5
Catered to Complacency
by: Unknown
“Yes about that…”
Liara took a moment to ponder the ethical implications of what she was doing. She was no stranger to lies and secrets in her field of work, but what she planned for her beloved was pushing the boundaries of what was acceptable. ‘It should at least keep her out of trouble’ she rationalized to herself, ignoring her own buried perversions.
“...I was just wondering if there was anything else you might need? Something more to eat? A massage perhaps?” Her eyes lingered on Shepard's pudge, hoping her lover wouldn't notice.
“Are you alright Liara? You’re acting a bit strange…”
“No need to worry dear, I just care about you is all. Just trying to make things life as easy as possible for all you’ve gone through. By the goddess, I can only imagine how exhausted you must be.”
Something churned within the inner machinations of Eileen’s mind, a new train of thought she’d toyed with before yet never grown accustomed to. The commander sighed. “I suppose you’re right, I really should take things easy now that I have the time… Ooh, and could you possibly bake some cookies while you’re at it?”
Liara smiled. “Certainly Shepard, I’ll be back in a moment.”
As the Asari turned for the kitchen, Shepard tucked in to the dense cheesecake before her, oblivious to the mind-altering drugs within.
