You go to have fun. You'd had a grueling week of mid term exams and you need to unwind. You don't necessarily want to hang out with Tom and friends. You see them all the time but while you mingle and find someone to hook up with, you'll tolerate their weird humor.
"Whatcha reading there Jason?"
"A book on hypnosis."
"You're kidding me. That stuff is so fake."
"Actually, it's real. We learned about it in psychology. The professor said that stage magicians only partially hypnotize people for the stage but that under the care of a trained professional with time, deeper trances can be achieved."
"So do you think you could hypnotize someone?"
"Naw, I'm only part way through the book."
"Give it a try. I dare you?"
You ignore the whole conversation. You sit there drinking your beer and looking at the women as they come in. Then you feel like someone is staring at you, like all your friends are staring at you. You turn around to see Jason dangling a shoe string in front of your eyes.
Tom says, "Thanks a lot, Jason. As his roommate, I'm going to be the one stuck dressing and undressing him."
You say, "I don't know what you're talking about but I need to pee." You ignore your friends as they start to argue. The beer is going through you fast. You walk into the restroom and up to a urinal. What in the world is that in front of your penis? It's some kind of cloth, denim maybe with tiny metal things attached. It's blocking you from peeing but you desperately need to go. Then the denim gets a great big wet spot and you no longer have to pee but this strange denim cloth is keeping the urine against you're skin. What are you going to do? Somehow you know how embarrassing it is to walk out of a bathroom with a wet cloth in front of your penis but you can't figure out why that would be embarrassing. You can't figure out where the cloth came from to begin with or how to get rid of it.
