With everything defying logic and several laws of physics, Abigail remained speechless when she gazed at her surroundings. Further down the edge of the body of water, there stood a myriad of tall-standing trees with the ground shadowed by the countless green leafs. Grass and soil blanketed the terrain of pure nature, and she didn’t saw any civilization or signs of humans. Swimming towards the bank, her feet still didn’t felt the bottom of the enormous lake. Climbing out, she took her first few steps on dry land as drips of water rained down from her drenched clothing and hair. Her baby blue sleeveless shirt was darkened in color as it soaked up water like a sponge, sticking to her skin tightly while revealing the outlines of her bra underneath.
Abigail stroked her own hair, combing it with her hand before squeezing the water out of her wet, long, silky, black hair. Strolling further down, she began to enter the forest for it was the only direction she could travel to. Otherwise, the only other option would be to swim towards the other side of the lake, but she didn’t want to take chances on a place she was unfamiliar with. Deep down, she was terrified and confused, but at her age, she knew that it was best to remain calm. Only one question lingered in her mind: Where am I?
Five to ten minutes ago, she was at her school, and now, she ended up in a forest. Wait a minute! The answer was simple. She didn’t know how she arrived here, but if she went back to where she came from, maybe she could return back to school. That made sense, right? But, when she last checked, the giant pipeline only had one exit with a dead end on the other side. However, Abigail couldn’t help but ponder that she must have missed something when she was there. Being so afraid and confused, she might have missed a missing door or something.
Obviously, wandering in a forest would most definitely not lead her back to where she came from, and besides, she was a swimmer. After making up her mind from careful judgment, the black-haired girl chose to return back to where she came from. Striding back to the freshwater lake, Abigail sank her body back into the water, sandaled feet entered first. After taking several breaths to calm her nerves down, she held her breath as she dived into the deep water. Swimming deeper and deeper, the girl scanned around in search for an exit which became harder to do since the water grew darker the deeper she sank.
The moment she spotted the pipeline, she hurried into the cramped entrance. Everything grew really dark, difficult to see anything. By the time she reached the end of the long passageway, her hands pressed against the solid cool, rough surface. It was a dead end. She wanted to feel around to investigate, but the remaining time for her to hold her breath was running short. Curling her legs inward and upward, she pushed off of the surface with her legs, giving her an extra boost as she swam out of the pipeline. Heading towards the surface above, she was almost there, prepared to regain her oxygen supply for her lungs until she felt something coiling around her ankle. Flinching, Abigail glimpsed into the shadowy water down below, unable to make out what caught her ankle, but whatever it was, she couldn’t swim any further because of it. Tugging her captured ankle, she tried to nudge herself free but gave up as soon as she understood how powerful the grip was. Being able to feel countless of suction cups attached to the bare skin of her ankle, a sinking sensation aroused in her heart and mind.
With her other leg, she kicked the tentacle that wrapped around the other, but being underwater, her kick was weak as her sandals made it unsuitable for kicking. After repetitively kicking the grip, her resistance halted when another tentacle coiled around and squeezed around her other ankle. Meanwhile, she felt her entire body slowly sinking away from the world of breathable air. Desperately swinging her arms to swim back up, it all became futile when a tentacle immobilized each of her wrists.
Struggling and squirming from her bounds, the girl accidently kicked both her sandals off her feet, but that was of little concern to her given her current situation. Abigail could probably maintain her breath for another thirty seconds before it was all over for her. However, her calculations didn’t include the possibility of a pair of tentacles stroking its tips against the bare, tender, defenseless soles of her innocent feet. Exhaling some of her air, bubbles emitted from her nose, but she hanged on as best as she could. The stroking on her feet tickled her so much, and it bothered her from maintaining her breath.
This already unbearable torture had just gotten worse when another pair of whimsical tentacles played around with Abigail’s sensitive armpits. If only her shirt had some sleeves, she might be able to endure it a few seconds longer. Immediately, the girl exhaled all of her air supply from her lungs in a chuckle underwater, “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…” Just before she was about to suffocate and be put out of her misery, the tentacle that stroked her right armpit shifted and wrapped around the girl’s mouth and nose, blocking the water to be inhaled.
“Mmmm! MMMMmm!MMMM! mmm!” Mumbling in her gag, all of her wiggling and squirming were barely noticeable due to her restriction of movements. Tickled and tortured underwater, she was forced to suffer a little longer with her mouth and nose being covered. Until thirty seconds passed by, her mind faded away as Abigail fainted from the lack of air.
Meanwhile, on dry land, an intelligent bipedal panda cub waddled towards the lake with a fishing pole grasped in his paws. This adorable little black and white bear casted his fishing rod into the lake in hopes to catch a juicy fish to eat. To his surprise, he felt the hook at the end of the fishing wire being tugged by something, so it must be a fish, right?
Reeling it in, the standing panda cub tugged the rod with all its might until a strange looking fish was pulled out of the water. Confused at what type of fish it was, the panda wondered if he had discovered a new species of fish. This fish had limbs like a panda, but it didn’t have any scales or fur. It possessed long black hair on its head, too long to be considered fur. This fish didn’t have any webbed feet, so it most definitely wasn’t a frog. This unusual creature had tannish wet skin, and it wasn’t moving at all. What a delicate and fragile fish for it to have died the instant it pulled out of the water.
Gently laying the motionless corpse on the ground, the panda crawled around, analyzing this strange, unusual creature. Was it edible? He poked at two round bumps on the fish’s chest for he had never seen it before. Was it her gills to breathe underwater?
The moment Abigail coughed while lying flat on her back, the panda cub flinched backwards.
“GAHHH! IT LIVES!” The taking, bipedal panda cub scampered away on its two little legs, escaping into the forest, frightened by the mutated fish.
