You decided to figure out what was going on. What could have changed this place so much from the last time you where here? Your first stop was the town square. When you arrive, you spot a man and a woman walking by and talking loudly. You quietly walk over to them and listen in.
"This place is really dieing. We won't last much longer at this rate." The man laments.
"Its all because of that damned Monster girl!" The woman snarls. "Ever since that bitch made her home at the docks, the ships can't leave. The men can't make it to their boats without getting attacked."
"Aye, and new ships from the mainland have stopped coming in. They must have realize no ship ever comes back from here any more." The man said with a sigh.
"And we can't even force her to leave. All the adventurers in the town have all tried and failed and back when the ships where still coming in she ambushed those adventures as soon as they set foot on the docks." The woman complained.
"I heard a rumor going around that someone saw her take down three adventures at once." The man stated as he and the woman walked out of the square.
As you went to follow them and try to find out more, your attention is drawn to a red headed woman crying on a bench. You move to see what was wrong but were stopped by a hand on suddenly gripping your shoulder.
"Don't do, kid." A stout man tells you as he takes his hand off your shoulder.
"Why?" You asked him.
"That's Emily. Her son was kidnapped by a Monster Girl the other day." He explained. "Someone spotted them heading to a cave just up the coast."
"Why hasn't anyone done anything? I mean, you guys know where he's being held."
"All the adventures on the island already have there hands full." He told you.
"You mean with the trouble at the docks?" You responded
"Aye, not only that. Them Monster Girls have been raiding the supply road to Grimlick and Fahern" The man says
"You mean the mining town and the farming village?" You ask but you meant it as more of a statement.
"Yup. I hear that they've almost cleared up the road to Fahern, so we won't be staving to death." He said "On the other hand, I don't think they'll be in any condition to deal with the road to Grimlick anytime soon.
You close your eyes in thought as you mull over what you learned. The man bids you farewell and tells you to stay out of trouble.
