Finally, 11:00 comes and it is time for lunch. "I've got 45 minutes today, so I say we go down to that new pizza place across the street," suggests Lucas.
"Sounds good," you say.
"Here," Lucas lifts you off the desk, "You can ride in my shirt pocket." You are dumped into the cloth chamber. Lucas stands up, and you try to stay still in his pocket to not draw attention to him as he leaves the building. Your body rests against your friends bicep which bounces into you as he swings his arm. He probably could have used some more deodorant this morning, but you put up with the slight smell of body odor until Lucas gets in the elevator.
"Okay it's safe little guy," Lucas says when the elevator doors close. You peek your head over his pocket. The doors open again, and Lucas walks out of the lobby. It's a very nice day. Lucas stops to take a breath of the fresh air, then walks down the side walk to the new pizza store. You see the sign that reads, Pizza Paradise. When Lucas opens the door, you duck back into his pocket seeing that the pizzeria is quite crowded.
Lucas goes up to the counter and orders a pepperoni pizza and drink then finds a small booth. He removes you from his pocket and sets you gently behind the salt shaker. "I hope you're hungry," he says, "because you're gonna have to eat half of this pizza." You both laugh. An employee comes over with the pizza and give Lucas a questioning look seeing him laughing by himself.
You watch in awe as Lucas quickly scarfs down most of the pizza. It's amazing how much and how fast the man can eat. You walk over and pull off a piece of pepperoni to nibble on.
