The microzon allies arrive

A meeting had been called by command, and Mikal was kneeling around their commander as he spoke to the assembled troops around him. "I will not lie gentlemen, it looks bleak." He sighed, brushing his hair back before continuing, "Vanguard reports indicate that the Microzon allies have arrived in orbit and are descending as we speak, we cannot hold our positions. High command has withdrawn from the system, leaving us with a standing order to resist by all ameans until relieved." He looke duo a team the sky, as though expecting to see the female starships arriving, "What that means is; we take to the forests and rocks and fight as guerrillas. We will survive! Prepare to evac!"
As the Spartan lines began to grab whatever supplies they could, Mikal made sure he had his spear, not wanting to be caught without it, when he felt the ground shake.
THOOOM
"Giantess! Fifty feet! Move men, MOVE!!" The commander yelled rom somewhere, and Mikal didn't wait to see from where. He took off running into the thrash, hoping to make it to the trees just a few yard away form the trenches.
Looking up, he saw a massive foot come down and scurry their entire artillery line, the Microzons charging the failing Spartan line. A few artillery men managed to get their cannons blinking at the microzons, but otherwise it was a complete rout. The giants towered countless feet above the original tiny combatants of this planetoid, at least 20 feet tall, maybe a bit more by Mikals estimations.
Managing to make it to the tree, Mikal started climbing up the bark until he found a nook in the craggy material, and wedged himself in there, waiting until nightfall to move t a better location.
