You try to stab the charging centaur with the broken sword, but your injured arm barely allowed the blade to piece his flesh. With a soft grunt the centaur pulled the blade from his left front leg and tossed it aside. "I got you good, human!" he taunted with a laugh as he placed a hand over his bleeding wound and emitted a flash of light from it. Just like that his stab wound was gone.
"Mana...wait, that's it!" you whispered as the centaur geared up for his final charge. You didn't have too much experience with magic, but knew how the basic flow of mana worked. Without a word you raised your broken arm and tried to focus. For a split second the world went silent and you felt the soft heartbeat of nature. The trees, the grass, the dirt and even the rocks...you felt at one with the natural world.
The loud roar of a charging centaur snapped your out of your trance as you channeled what little green mana you could into your right hand. The bones snapped back into place and you felt your muscles expand as glowing veins of green light spread throughout your arm. You didn't have enough time or energy to use a proper spell, but simply infusing the potent magical force into your fist was easy enough.
With seconds left before the minotaur called the fight you braced for your final showdown with the centaur.
