You nod your head and thank the guard for the information before continuing onward. "Interesting, I've only been here a short while and I'm already meeting many fascinating people." you say to yourself as you walk up to a man wearing black and green face paint and beads.
"Ah, can I help you child?" the man whispers through wrinkled lips as his pale green eyes fall upon you. He looked to be about seventy or eighty years old with a long thin grey beard and thick eyebrows. Upon his bare chest and back he had painted several runes and magical symbols that shimmered every other second with a faint green glow.
"Hello sir, I'm looking for someone named Arven." you reply as you lean forward to bow. "I'm hoping to be trained in the ways of the shaman so that I might better serve the Swarm." The man smiles as he strokes his beard and looks away for a moment at a young woman skimming through the shallow sludge behind him. "Ah yes, I take it master Yirlosh sent you?" he asked as he beckoned for the young woman to come closer.
"Yes sir." you reply as the man pulls out a small satchel and hands it to you. "I'm afraid I just sent Arven to the upper chambers to fetch me some samples of all our fresh crops, it'll take quite a bit of time to get back here. Luckily, I myself am one of our most senior shamans and would be happy to instruct you for the time being. Does that sound agreeable?"
You nod your head and the man pulls a small bone knife out of the satchel he gave you and hands it to the young woman he just called over. "Hold this for a second, Xenda. We have a new shaman to welcome." he says cheerfully as he pulls a few tiny vials and pouches from the satchel. "There now. Looks like we have all of the ingredients...what shall old master Guvoi teach you about first?"
