The next evening, Tom came over again, and they watched some more Mad Men, but midway through the evening, Madison leaned in on Tom and kissed him. This led to them making out rather quickly, and each of them were pleased about it.
That night was a mixture of making out and talking, but neither of them realized that eventually there would be an impasse. Madison wasn't looking for any relationship at all. She liked Tom, but the last thing that she wanted to do was be bolted down in the first semester of college.
Tom on the other hand wasn't going to rush into things either, but eventually, he knew that he wanted to be with her. He just didn't know that Madison didn't want that to happen, and prefered the friends with benefits status quo.
