Madison, having take grue avoidance lessons early in her childhood, deftly led Cassi to the food hall. Kelly was already there and had grabbed a table, with a salad placed in front of her.
"Aw, come on!" Cassi frowned. "I thought we were doing burrito night."
"Ha! I don't know how you got your body, but I know I didn't get mine eating burritos three times a week. Especially the burritos here, they're like the size of my head. Not that there are a lot of healthy options here."
"You can say that again," a voice behind Kelly said. "I heard some girl in our dorm gained like 40 pounds her freshman year. Can't imagine the rest of Delta Pi was too pleased with that!" It was Megan, carrying a tray holding a turkey sandwich, large sweet potato and rice.
Madison's eyes bulged. "Whoa, what's with all that?"
"I'm carb loading! Tryouts for the rugby team are next week and I'm in full training mode. Gotta have the endurance to keep up."
Cassi looked surprised. "I didn't know you played rugby. Heck, I didn't know there was a women's team at Powers."
Kelly snorted. "For real, right? Seems gross to me. Isn't it just a bunch of lesbos running around groping each other?"
Madison gasped. Kelly certainly wasn't one to mince words in the short time they'd known each other but that seemed too harsh. However, Megan just laughed, set her tray down and cupped one of Kelly's breasts. "You just remember who wears the strap on in this relationship, baby." The girls dissolved into laughed as Kelly shrieked and nearly fell out of her chair moving away.
As everyone composed themselves, a gurgle was heard from Cassi's direction. More specifically, from Cassi's stomach. "Alright, it's burrito time! Let's go, Madison."
Kelly rolled her eyes. "Two good looking, awesome ladies like yourselves can get just about any man on campus and be popular to boot. You could have the run of this place and you would risk that for burritos? I know Cassi won't listen, but Madison, you seem sensible. Don't let your waist go to waste."
