“My girlfriend Nguyen has the body of Serena Williams,” you say into the watch, and then turn to ask Roger, “She’s the one who’s won a few more times, right?”
“I don’t think it matters,” says Roger, and then you see his jaw drop. “Whoa!”
You turn back to see that Nguyen is obviously growing taller, her arms and legs expanding with muscle, her breasts even expanding a bit, her tennis outfit enlarging with her. You’d half expected her to become black, but she’s still Asian; it doesn’t appear that her face has altered any.
She’s continued to play the game as if nothing happened, but you quickly realize as she wins a couple of points that she’s become noticeably better with her new body -- she can easily cover more of the court with her longer legs, she has a better reach with her longer arms, she can make more powerful shots with her developed muscles.
You finally notice that there’s a lot more cheering in the stands than there had been, and look around to realize it’s because there are suddenly a lot more people in the stands.
Roger says in a low voice, “Oh, my God, that’s awesome.”
“Is it?” you ask, as Nguyen smashes a ball that her opponent doesn’t come close to reaching, winning a game and drawing loud cheers.
“Yeah!” exclaims Roger. Nguyen serves, and again, her opponent can’t reach it -- an ace, and the first point of the next game.
“I don’t know,” you say. “It still kinda seems like cheating.”
“Oh, I don’t mean that, necessarily,” said Roger. “I mean, you not only transformed your girlfriend, you changed most of these people’s lives so they’re suddenly at a tennis match to watch her” -- he vaguely gestured at the stands around you -- “and all you had to do was say a few words into a watch!”
