A certain bandaged heiress of the Schnee Dust Company and member of Team RWBY groggily woke up in slight pain after nurses and doctors tried their best to save her after a mission nearly went downhill resulting in Weiss lying on the bed of the Infirmary at Beacon Acadamy.

The mission in question was a simple extermination one by hunting down a reported group of Grimm somewhere in Forest Fall. When she and her Team located the group, they formulated a simple plan to launch a surprise attack and went with the flow afterward. It was going well in spite of some difficulties here and there, but as Weiss activated her semblance an unseen Grimm, possibly returning after scouting the area, appeared out of nowhere and attacked, catching her off guard. Just as Weiss was about to redirect her glyph in an attempt to defend herself the Grimm managed to pounce on her.
Although her Aura would usually protect her to a degree, this time it was too low after being attacked by the other Grimm during the attack and this resulted in the Grimm on top of her to "break" through the Aura with a bite into her shoulder drawing blood! As Weiss screamed in pain her partner, Ruby Rose had heard her and at the moment used her semblance to get in close and sliced at the Grimm with her weapon but unintentionally let's some of the wounded Grimm's blood to infect Weiss's wounds!
The pain was beyond Weiss's comprehension as she somehow unconsciously activating her semblance at random resulting in the infection to spread into her body and her screaming loudly. After dispatching the last of the group, her Team frantically tried to get her back to Beacon as quickly as possible before more Grimm would arrive once they sense their despair and Weiss in pain. As Weiss falls into unconsciousness, she could barely hear Ruby tearfully apologizing for her mistake and begged Weiss to hold on until they make it back.

Now that Weiss is awake, she sat up in spite of the remnants of the pain as she examines her bandaged shoulder.
"What will happen to me now?"
That was a question that made Weiss nervous. Her potential future as a Huntress could very well be over if she was found to be unfit due to her injury and the infection.
Then there was the matter of her family... would her father even allow her to succeed him despite her "condition", or would he strip her position as the heiress and possibly make her younger brother, Whitley his heir instead?
Neither were good options when Weiss wanted to be independent of her father, and the thought of Whitley becoming the head of the Schnee Dust Company made her uneasy when she looked back on how Whitley acted more like their father when it comes to the Company.
Weiss sighed as she rubbed the bandage, "I can't think too much about any of that right now. Recovery is my primary-"
But she was cut off when entire body was suddenly in terrible pain!
"What's happening to me?!" Weiss mentally cried out as she teared up trying not to scream.
But unbeknownst to her, this was only the beginning as...
