You're a chunin of the Hidden Leaf Village on a mission. The mission in question was to search for an abandoned hideout of the late Toad Sage Jiyara. The Hokage recently found some research notes that belonged to the old man that caught her interest. She said it had something to do with an experimental Jutsu that she wanted to try out. You made a joke about it being some sort of age reversal Jutsu durning the briefing. She didn't think it was funny.
You were grateful that she didn't feel like beating your end, but that was probably because she wanted to relax now that the Great Ninja War was over. You heard that Naruto guy, the one that defeated Pain, defeated Madara freaking Uchiha! And that the past four Hokage came back from beyond the grave to help! But more importantly, Madara's dead, again, and no one will live in a fake imaginary world created by a crazy old coot! You made a note to do something nice for the guy when you get the chance.
As for the village, things are looking up now. Ever since the survivors of the war came back, the village's reconstruction has been accelerating, and so far no other village has tried to pull anything funny. Maybe there'll be peace in the Ninja world after all.
But peace for you? Not lately. You've been following a map to Jiraya's hideout, and you came to the conclusion that the old man made this map to drive people insane. The first stop had you dig under the hot springs to find the next piece of the map. When you found it, you weaken the ground underneath a certain Hokage that decided to take some time to relax, and made her fall into your tunnel. To say Lady Tsunade was angry was an understatement. How you aren't in the hospital is something only the Sage of the Six Paths could know. The next couple of stops involved Jiraya's favorite places, more hot springs. Though you might be banned from a good majority of those places, it wasn't all bad. You got to see Tsunade's chest, that has got to count for something. Another stop had you got to this forest where you found this triple bladed scythe that you took a likening to.
You have finally found the place you've been looking for the past two weeks, and you have the hope that you could be in the Hokage's good graces again. The Sage had the place hidden away in a swamp. Seemed fitting enough that he would build the place in an area filled with frogs.
