"Oh, uh, this?" Amanda brought her hands in front of her, acting surprised by the article of clothing she held in them.
"Whose are those?" Her father asked, crossing his arms.
"This is horrible..." Kelsey muttered to herself. All she could do was stand there in her bright blue panties, her face growing hotter in the cool night air, hoping Amanda would think of something.
"I don't know," Amanda replied, holding them out toward her dad. "We found them back here."
Kelsey tried to keep her eyes from bulging out of their sockets. Amanda was giving away her shorts!
He grabbed the article from his daughter. "Is that true Kelsey?"
She nervously twisted the bottom hem of her shirt in her hands, unknowingly lifting it even higher above the waistband of her panties and almost exposing her navel. Kelsey was trying to avoid looking at Amanda's father standing there in his own very tight underpants. She had butterflies in her stomach and was nearly trembling from holding back the mixed flurry of emotions welling up in her.
"Yeah," came her lackluster response. She didn't want to lose her bottoms but she didn't seem to have a choice. Clearly Amanda thought her dad might get angrier if they told him the truth. Kelsey had to support her if they wanted to avoid getting in trouble.
"Hasn't someone been trampling through mom's garden, dad?" Amanda offered, trying to strengthen their lie with truth.
"Well, yes, but... at night?" He examined the shorts in his hands. They were clearly familiar to him but in his weary state he couldn't connect the dots, nor did he have any desire to.
Amanda shrugged, more confident now. "I dunno. That's all we've found."
"Hmm. Well don't stay out here long if there's a half-naked flower killer on the loose," he said, chuckling and shaking his head. "For now I'll just turn off the motion sensor. I need some sleep."
"Okay! G'nite daddy!" Amanda cheerfully twisted her body as her father re-entered the house with one more article of clothing.
The two girls stood and watched him through the windows. He fiddled with a panel on the wall before heading out of sight, the dim light from a hallway disappearing soon after.
"You gave him my pants!?!" Kelsey squealed, swatting at her friend.
"Ow! I'm sorry!"
"And he saw me in my panties!!!" she exclaimed, grabbing her crotch with her hands.
"Okay, I would think that would be the last thing you would have a problem with. I thought you 'had a thing' for my dad?" Amanda stated contemptuously.
Kelsey couldn't reply. Her fingers had just come in contact with a tiny damp spot on the underside of her panties. Through her embarrassment and fear she was apparently turned on. Maybe it was from seeing Amanda's dad virtually naked. Or maybe it was her own exposure that was doing it for her. She was very confused. Either way, she was getting wet.
"Helloooo!" Amanda waved her hand in front of Kelsey's face.
"What am I going to do?" Kelsey asked.
"It's okay. He doesn't know about the dare. He probably just thinks you sleep like that."
"No, what am I going to wear?"
"Well you have something else don't you?"
"No! I don't!" Kelsey yelled.
Amanda put her hand to Kelsey's mouth. "Ah! Shh! Don't scream!"
"Did you see the size of my backpack?" Kelsey said, pushing the hand away. "Does it look like I brought my whole closet with me?"
"Well what did you bring?"
"Some shirts, clean underwear, and my swimsuit. Those were my favorite shorts! I wear them ALL the time!"
"Hmm." Amanda pursed her lips in contemplation. "Well I can't really lend you anything."
"Why not?!" Kelsey whined.
"Because my mom doesn't like it. I'm sorry!"
A dull thud came from inside the house which startled the arguing girls. They grabbed each other in fear. The door was still wide open. Had an animal gone inside? Or had her father been hiding?
Amanda let go of Kelsey and let out an exaggerated sigh.
"Come out, Flower. I know it's you."
A girl timidly shuffles out from the shadows of the house and steps out into the back yard.
"Hi Kelsey..."
"Hi Flora."
"It's not very nice to spy on people Flora, especially your sister!"
Amanda's younger sibling kicked her feet and innocently looked up at them in her nightie.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing." Amanda replied coldly.
"But what were you doing...?"
Amanda instantly became more receptive. "Umm... we heard a noise."
"So you weren't playing truth or dare?" Flora asked with a devious smile.
The two friends looked at each other awkwardly.
"Can I please play with you? I won't tell dad! And I'm really good at dares!"
"Flower..."
"Pretty please?? With a cherry on top? And chocolate, and sprinkles, an..."
