Baseball bat still on hand, with your fingers tightly clutching around the handle, you carefully approach your current intruder, ready to strike! But when you do, what stands before you isn't quite what you expected. Instead, you find yourself staring down at a black anthromorphic bee that you instantly recognise as Charmy from the Sonic games, donning his orange vest and signature goggles. Interestingly enough, you also notice that he's barefoot and that his white and orange shoes are chucked aside in a corner of your living room. Still blissfully unaware of your presence, he continues grabbing food and whatnots, creating both noise and mess around him. You have no idea why he would be here in your world, let alone how he even managed to sneak inside your house but right now, did it really matter? Either way though, you couldn't help but feel jittery by his presence, especially when a video game character is stealing food from your fridge.
"What are you doing here?" you shout out a bit too loudly, which made the cute black bee stop dead in his tracks. He turned his head to face your gaze; his orange-amber eyes staring into your own. Your presence now made known, you wait for Charmy to make his first move and for a moment, Charmy says nothing, only watching you wordlessly as he stands in stunned silence. He seems to be waiting for you to say or do something but you're too awestruck to react. A moment passes by, before Charmy finally manages to speak, "Uhm, hi?"
It's pretty clear now that he's no threat to your safety; he's just a lost little guy who happens to have stolen food from your fridge (not that you wanted to attack Charmy, out of any Sonic characters). There's a sneaky thought in you that wanted to help Charmy out in any capacity possible. You smile and lower your makeshift weapon, trying to ease the tension between you.
"Hey," you answer, still smiling, "I'm sorry if I startled you, it's just completely weird seeing anyone else other than me here." You then turn away slightly, looking back towards the kitchen and continue, "Are you alright?"
Charmy tilts his head, "Well, uhm... yeah. I wanted to look around for a way home after I jumped into a portal, but then I got distracted and ate all your food! Sowwy."
"So you came through the Sega Genesis cartridge?"
Charmy looks at you in confusion, "What's a Sega Genesis?"
You gulp. Right... you almost completely forgot that a video game character has no idea what real-world brands are. You shrug your shoulders and reply, "Oh, uhh, it's this thing you used to play games on."
"Really?" Charmy perks up, getting easily distracted, "Do you know where I can find one?"
"That's not the point," you briefly shut him down. There is no way you're letting him outside your house without coming up with some sort of plan, "Besides, you're still hungry aren't you?"
"Yeah..." Charmy mutters, slumping his shoulders again, "And I was hoping you might..."
