Grinning, David thought about what mischief he could create with his power. He liked the new hair he had gotten and was so far satisfied with swaps for himself, but Kyle needed some improvement.
"First, let's see my limits", he thought and concentrated on Kyle and Miss Deveraux.
"So, Émilie. How is it going between you and Michelle?", asked David, trying to find out if his swap did work.
"It's going great. We're planning a trip together next month. Not quite sure where we want to go, but we'll figure something out", explained Kyle in a feminine voice.
"Perfect", thought David as he suppressed a grin. He had successfully swapped the name and voice of the new substitute professor with Kyle. "But I wonder…"
Again, David concentrated on his friend and the new professor. No physical changes happened, but that was not what he had in mind.
"You could travel to Canada, visit your folks", suggested David.
"Yeah, but I wanted to have some time alone with her, if you get what I'm saying", grinned "Émilie" at his friend. "And maybe see something I don't already know."
David could jump with joy as this confirmed how powerful he was. He was able to swap Kyle's family with that of Miss Deveraux's. "I guess she's called Wright now. Would be weird if I ask him that. Whatever, I'll find out soon enough."
David thought about reversing some of the swaps, but he could not see "Miss Wright" anymore. Nonetheless he tried using his powers but found one limit. The swap participants had to be in visual range for him to do any swaps.
"Oh well, not like "Émilie" and "Kyle" will never be in the same room again", he thought and was already planning his next move.
