Regina wolfed down the last piece of food on her plate. She then rubbed her hands over her round belly.
"Ah that was a good meal. I'm full now. My belly is round."
"You're full?" Gingers grandmother asked.
Regina smiled. She was at Gingers house. She sometimes stayed there. And lately a bit more since her pregnant mother went in and out of the hospital. She did't mind that since she and ginger had been friends since kindergarten.
Regina maybe was fat but nothing compared to Ginger. She was Afro American, her dark skin and black skin clearly told that. But she was about two times as big as her fat friend. Ginger even needed two chairs for her huge butt but she was confident with her size and didn't hide it.
The reason why Ginger lived by her grandmother was because (at least that what she told everyone) That one day when she was three years old her mother got a strange phone call. After that her parents packed their bags, Put her in the car and drove to her grandmothers house and dropped her of and drove away, She hadn't heard from them since. Not even one phone call or postcard or e-mail. She didn't even knew if they were still alive. Of course she asked her grandmother but never got a clear answer so she finally stopped asking.
But Gingers grandma was raised in the old ways that fat girls were a sign of beauty and wealth. And She still believed that. She herself was also a fat woman. But since her granddaughter came to live with her she decided to make her fat. At the same time Ginger had a big appetite and a desire to become fatter. So it was a match made in heaven. Ginger loved to eat and grandmother loved to feed. This of course affected her body and she was already the fattest girl in school. But Ginger thought she was beautiful.
Ginger swallowed the last crumb and opened her mouth.
"BUUUUURRRRRP!!!!!"
"Not so good," Regina mumbled and opened her mouth. "BUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRP!!!!!!!!!! Now that's a burp!"
"Now do you girls wanna see a movie?" Grandma asked.
"Maybe later grandma. Regina need to help me to weigh myself," Ginger said
Regina looked puzzled. She didn't understand why Ginger needed help with that but of course she wanted to help her and they both waddled to the bathroom. Ginger went sitting on the toilet and untied her shoes.
"Say Ginger don't get this the wrong way but why do I need to help you to weigh yourself. I mean you can do that easily on your own right?"
"If you wait a moment you will see," Ginger said while she pulled of her shoes.
She striped until she was completely naked, She wasn't ashamed to be naked near Regina since they were both girls, they had known each other for years, and they had seen each other naked before . It was no big deal.
She stopped a moment to admire her body in the mirror and stepped on the scale. Now Regina understood why Ginger needed her help. Her huge belly blocked her view on the display.
"Now do you understand? Can you see the number on the display?"
Regina got on hands and knees and looked at the display.
"Well is doesn't really have a number," Regina said.
"Oh. Does the scale needs new batteries? I have some in..."
"No that's not the case."
"If the display doesn't say anything that means..."
"The display did say something."
"You just said it didn't."
"No I didn't say that. I only said that there was no number on the display. But it did say something."
"Then what did it say?"
"It said error," Regina said while she took the scale.
"What does that mean?"
"I think I know why," Regina said looking at the scale. "Oh there it is. The maximum weight of the scale is 360 pounds. So if it says error it means you weigh at least 360.1 pounds or more."
"So how can I find out how much I weigh?"
"Well buy a scale that has a higher maximum weight. I believe the have special scales for that. They were used to weight bags of potatoes but since obesity is growing you can also use them for people. I believe they use one of those in my 600 lbs life. The display is also higher so easier to read. Or you can lose weight until you 360 pounds or less."
"Like that's ever gonna happen."
"Don't think so. Or you can go to the junk yard. I mean they weigh tons of metal. Sure they have scales with a high maximum weight there."
