"Listen, Diane, we don't have to like each other, but why don't we work together? We're in the same boat here, and neither of us wants to get caught. So let's just put our differences aside and see if we can't find something to cover up with, okay?" Mackenzie asked, awkwardly holding out a hand as a sign of goodwill, though this also forced her to awkwardly cross her legs similarly to Diane.
After a few moments where she seemed to be weighing her options, Diane reluctantly took Mackenzie's hand and shook it. "Fine, we'll work together. But I swear, if I get arrested because of you-"
"Nobody's getting arrested, Diane!" Mackenzie snapped back. "If we do this smart, nobody's even going to see us. So come on, we need to figure out where to go."
Carefully, the two naked women crept alongside Diane's house, doing their best to look anywhere but at each other. Being stuck outside naked was awkward enough, but being naked around an equally naked person? That's a new level of awkward altogether. In any case, the two beauties made it to the end of Diane's house and hid behind some bushes, looking out onto the street in front of them.
"We're going to have to cross the street." Diane said. "I'm the only person on this side of the block that hangs laundry out to dry, but someone across the street might have something hanging up."
"Easier said than done, Diane." Mackenzie muttered. She was right, as the street was far from empty at the moment. A few houses down was a landscaping van with several workers milling about. While they were mainly focused on their work, the street would be in their peripheral vision and it wouldn't be impossible for the to notice the two streakers. A bit down the block in the other direction were some college age kids lounging on a front lawn, though whether they were sleeping in their seats or not was impossible to tell from this distance.
All in all, the run across the street would be risky. Unless there was a distraction to take advantage of, it would be very difficult to run across unseen. Diane realized this, and she also realized that sometimes, the best distraction was one you created yourself...
