"I want to see Princess Ariel." Jamie asked excitedly. She pressed her face against the cold glass of the aquarium. "Which one has Ariel?" she demanded of one of the attendants.
"I thought I saw her here." Alex says pointing to one of the nearby ones. "She just vanished behind the corral."
He exchanges a look with the attendant, hoping he won't spoil the illusion. Jamie presses herself against that one eyes darting everywhere to see her favourite princess.
The attendant waves him over, and gestures through a door. With a backwards glance to Jamie, seeing she's enthralled by all the colourful fish. She should be fine for a quiet chat with the attendant. Naturally, he'd have preferred he kept the door open so he could keep an eye on her. But as he reveals a swimsuit, it's clear they were both on different pages.
"You can play Ariel." The guide suggests enthusiatically. Not hugely enamored with the idea, but with a sworn promise to take care of Jamie, Alex reluctantly agreed.
Being passed onto another attendant, this one in her own swimsuit provided the costume for Alex. "Best to strip now, and slip it on nearest the pool." she confided. Her voice sounding entirely disinterested in Alex's nudity.
The swimsuit was rather binding, naturally pinning both his legs together into a mermaid tail. He was a little disturbed to see that it pulled up to his shoulders. Clearly tailored for men or less endowed women. The seashells were stitched onto the top, and padding added to the illusion.
Slipping the shoulder straps into place. Alex was cornered and accepted the brilliant red wig that'd disguise the extent of the illusion.
With a pat, Alex was thrust into the aquarium pool. The material clinging and making the effect more convincing. The guide directed him where to swim to be seen by Jamie, and where to emerge discretely from the pool.
