Chapter #5

Nate confronts the hero about his identity

    by: Cardio Author IconMail Icon
As Nate followed Kent Clark around he decided to broach the obvious subject of his secret identity, "So, how does this work? Are we the only people who know the truth or does most of this world know?"

"What are you talking about?" Kent said innocently.

"You know what I'm talking about, you know," Nate whispered the next part so none of the computer generated citizens could hear, "How you're Ultraman." Kent came to a dead stop. "I-I don't know what you're talking about Lucy."

"How could I not noticed? I mean all you did was put on a pair of glasses, do you really think that fools anyone?" Nate said mockingly.

"I was afraid something like this would happen." Kent said suddenly stopping and looking very serious. Nate was really taken aback by the serious tone Kent was taking, "What's the big deal? Okay I get it, you like having a secret identity. I promise I won't tell a soul." Nate said while thinking about how stupid it was that a program was taking his crummy secret identity so seriously.

Kent pulled Nate into an alley where nobody could see them, "I don't keep my identity a secret for my protection, I do it for yours. I love you Lucy and I don't want to risk my enemy's coming after you."

"Uhhh thanks Kent. I appreciate that. Seriously I won' tell anyone, now let's go to that work thing you were talking about earlier." Nate said nervously while thinking to himself that he needed to get access to the computer and get out of there as soon as possible, he didn't like the way the simulation was going.

"No my love, I can't risk it." Suddenly his head was moving very close to Nate's. "What are you doing?" Nate asked before Kent locked lips with the lovely Lucy Lang who's digital body Nate was occupying. Nate tried to push him off but Kent was infinity strong and kept the kiss locked in. I am so turning you into a plant or something when I get out of here. Nate thought as continued to try and fight off the kiss, but as the kiss continued on Nate began to feel himself getting lost. What's happening? I-I can't keep my thoughts together. I know I'm supposed to do something with a computer. Do I need to type up a story? Think Nate think! Wait, why did I call myself Nate, my name is Lucy Lang. Why am I kissing Kent? He's not too bad at it, he's really...powerful. Get you're head together girl!

Lucy slapped Kent as he pulled away, Lucy said, "We don't have time for that now Kent, we've got places to go and stories to write." Lucy said leaving the alley but turned around to say with a wink, "But if you want to continue this...you can meet me at my place after work."

"It'd be my pleasure Miss Lang." Kent said straightening up his tie knowing the mind wipe kiss had done it's job. A whole lot more effectively than even Kent knew.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Nate eventually regains his memories

2. Kent and Lucy live happily ever after

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
