You have no idea what to do in this situation, but you know that you can't keep this to yourself. You reach into your pocket and grab your phone. You flick through the numbers and call your girlfriend, Mikki. It rang a few times before she picked up.
"Hey. What's up?" She asks.
"Hey. Listen, I was just on my way over to your place, but something happened on the way." You tell her.
"You sound worried. Is everything okay?"
"Not exactly. I heard a scream in one of the fields. When I got there, I found Rebecca. She's alive, but her head is missing."
"What!? What do you mean?" She asks you, shocked and confused at your statement.
"I know it sounds insane, but her head is gone, but her body is alive and moving around. There's no blood and she sat up, felt my face then hugged me. I could even tell that she was crying." You explain to her.
"That doesn't make any sense. How can she be alive if her head is gone?"
"I don't know, but there was this black van that sped out of the field just before I found her. I think that has something to do with it. I'm bringing her to your place. I don't think I can help her on my own." You say.
"Okay. I'll see you when you get here." She says. You then hang up.
Still holding Rebecca's hand, you begin to lead her out of the field.
"Come on Becs. I'll take you some place safe." You say to her, still forgetting that she can't hear you. You keep a look out and avoid anyone that may spot you. You don't think it would go down well if someone saw you walking down the street with a headless body. As you lead Rebecca, she trips up a couple of times since she can't see where she is going. In order to secure her balance, she grabs onto your arm to support her more than your hand. Luckily, Mikki doesn't live too far away and you make it without being spotted. You knock on the door and she answers. Her eyes grow wide as she see's Rebecca's headless body for the first time.
"Oh my god. Rebecca!" She exclaims as she reaches out to hug her. You then usher them both inside before anyone see's you. Mikki leads Rebecca to the couch and sits her down. She examines her neck stump for a few minutes before sitting down and staring at her.
"How did this happen?" She asks, without breaking her gaze.
"I don't know. I didn't think that such a thing was possible." You say.
