Chapter #5

Above the Enemy's Office

    by: Unknown
You keep walking down the ventilation system until you see light coming out of a vent with openings on the ground up ahead. You run to the light hoping to get a good idea where you were. This turned out to be a big mistake because you look down in dread at where you ended you. Below the vent you were in was a large desk with an old fashioned dial telephone on it along with a photograph you couldn't make out. But behind the desk were cabinets where they kept criminal records of all the inmates.

"You have got to be kidding me," you moaned. "I must've made a wrong turn." You were directly over the office of your archenemy, Warden Destiny. Destiny was a light blue skinned gargoyle who had to be at least a thousand feet tall since she was bigger than any other monster in the entire prison, staff or inmate. Destiny had long pinkish red hair reaching down to her heart shaped butt and an hourglass figure with huge curves. She had a lizard like tail, four horns on her forehead and bat like wings. In sort, she looked very similar to Demona.

It wasn't so much that Destiny didn't like humans. She's not racist. She just took her job as wardeb very seriously and had zero tolerance for anyone who tried to escape. Since that big blue bitch started working at Under Gloom, no prisoner has successfully escaped. Since you tried to escape more times than anyone else in the prison's history, Destiny had it in for you and every failed escape plan led to her punishing you harshly. One time she even forced you to rub her talons. If she sees you out of your cell, you're in serious trouble.

You hear the door open and Destiny walks in. "Crap." You mutter. As Destiny walks in, her ears twitch and she gives a scowl. You step back to be extra careful and Destiny looks up at the vent. Fortunately you get out of the way before she sees you. Destiny grits her teeth as she walks up to her desk. "That had better be a vermin problem," she says to herself. "Because I'd really hate to hear you tried to escape again Wade. After all the warnings I gave you. But you think you're invincible. If you've gotten out of your cell somehow and are trying to escape again, oh say your prayers. You had better say your prayers. Nobody is getting out of Under Gloom until they've paid their debt to society, if they can pay it."

You shiver in place and begin to sweat. Destiny didn't know you were right above her but was talking as if she did and even threatening you. This woman does not like you at all. Down below Destiny lets out a sigh as she takes a seat at her desk and begins to pour herself a cup of coffee as she resumes that stone faced look of hers. "Any minute now, Wade will try to escape, Belladonna will try to usurp me again. Man, I hate mornings."

You had to get out of here. It was way too risky to be above Destiny, but you see that you're on the other side of the vent and have to go back to find a different root. You run through the vent opening, but then you trip and start to fall. "Oh no," you think to yourself. "Not now. Please not now." But it was too late, you fall and slip through one of the holes in the vent opening and you were falling down. You hold your fingers as you plummet and hope that wherever you land Destiny doesn't notice you because if she does, you're dead meat.

Fate isn't on your side because as you plummet towards Destiny's desk you land...

You have the following choices:
