When he opened his eyes, he could only see the ceiling. The teen attempted to move but found that his body was paralyzed.
"D-..did it work? Am I a card?" Judging from his new perspective he quickly assumed he was right.
"I'M A CARD?!?! COOOL!" He yelled internally.
"But..how am I able to see??" Tommy continued to wonder as a shadow fell over him.
He stared in awe as his best friend now stood over him like a titan.
"Eric! dude! You're huge!!"
Tommy couldn't help but feel anxiety as the teen's massive hand came down to grab him.
"Wooooow, how does it feel?" Eric spoke.
"AMAZING!!" Tommy shouted internally. He knew Eric couldn't hear him, but he was simply too excited to care.
Tommy felt himself be carried to his desk.
Eric placed him side-by-side with another trading card.
"Wooow, I really am a card!" The teen still couldn't get over his transformation.
That was when the doorbell rang.
Eric placed him on the top of his deck and left the room.
"...so this is how it feels to be a part of a deck....neat..."
Just as he was having the most fun, a sudden gust of wind blew into the deck he was placed on.
"huh..HUH!!?!" The wind was so strong that it knocked the deck completely over.
Tommy screamed as he fell through the air and down on to the carpet. Card after card landed on him until he was in total darkness.
"ERIC!! ERIC?!?!" Tommy was frantic. He had never been a fan of closed-in spaces.
That was when he heard the thumps of his friend's feet entering the room.
"PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE!!" He shouted.
He eventually felt the sound of cards shifting above him until light broke through.
He smiled internally as Eric looked down into the pile.
"I'M RIGHT HERE!!"
Eric's face relaxed suddenly. "Ah! There you are" He spoke.
"Ahhh good finally! Now change me back. this is starting to freak me out a little."
Tommy watched as Eric's hand entered the pile and pulled out a card. His heart stopped as he realized it was a regular Green Nova card.
"hey..HEY HEY! WAIT THAT'S NOT ME!!"
Eric seemed convinced that he had found his friend. Looking back down at the other cards, he began to shuffle them back into a deck.
"NOOOOO!!! ERIC STOOOOOOO-...."
Tommy screamed in horror as his world was plunged into darkness again after being shuffled somewhere into the middle of the deck.
He could only continue to internally scream until he felt the deck being slid into something. All it took was a sudden *SNAP* for him to realize he had been placed into his own card-holder.
It was then that Tommy remembered that Eric would have to eventually realize that the card he was holding wasn't really him after it inevitably failed to [revert] back into his best friend.
The transformed teen sighed as relief flooded his panicked mind.
And so he began to wait....and wait.....and wait....
Minutes went by and nothing happened. He couldn't hear anything from in-between the many cards above and below him.
Just as he was starting to get nervous, the entire card-holder shifted.
"oh thank god...."
Tommy eagerly waited for the cards to be pulled out at any moment.
...
...
..
"Eric?.... Eric?" He could feel the cardholder swinging back and forth. Then there was a loud bang of a door.
