Can somehow still see and hear

You lay in the grass, looking at the blank sky. Oddly enough you cannot feel the grass on the back of your head. You quickly lean up, feeling awfully light above the neck. Your gaze meets Lillian who happens to be missing her head. Her neck is there, but covered by skin rather than a head. Surprised you quickly put your hand up to your own neck. Surely enough, nothing is there. Somehow you can still see as if your head was present. "What the hell happened?" you think to yourself, unable to vocalize it. You stand up in your new headless form. Walking over to Lillian to give her a hand up, you notice the people around you two are...
