"Hey, Minako, do you want to partner up?" Yukari asked Minako quickly after Mitsuru had instructed them to pair off.
"Oh, um, sure," Minako said and the two of them sat on the couch opposite a dumbstruck Fuuka who had just realized she had been stuck with Aigis.
"Do not worry, Fuuka-san, I will do be very best to ensure our success," Aigis said placidly.
"T-thank you, Aigis-chan," Fuuka said, not quite successful at hiding the doubt in her voice. She moodily stared at Yukari and Minako. Yukari, for her part, couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. Minako was easily the best student in their year and picking her seemed almost close to cheating. Still, someone had to team with her, and someone had to team with Aigis. Minako definitely seemed to the surest bet to make sure Yukari stayed well modest during the game.
Fuuka was no slouch in the academics department, either. In fact, she was basically on par with Minako. However, Yukari suspected that Fuuka's composure would likely start to crack as she became more and more exposed, probably leading to more and more flubs. Yukari was pretty confident that she and Minako wouldn't have much trouble winning and that Fuuka and Aigis would have to suffer what ever penalty Mitsuru had in mind. Perhaps, though, if Fuuka could hold out enough, they might even save both teams by stripping Mitsuru. Either way, though, Yukari felt she had gone with the safest choice.
She did feel a pang of guilt, however, as even though she suspected Minako easily had the best chance of keeping her modesty in tact, it was Yukari who had to watch out for Minako. Yukari certainly wasn't a bad student. She was above average, worlds better and Aigis and, thankfully, Stupei. Still, she wasn't in the same league as Minako and Fuuka. Regardless, Yukari suspected that Minako, unlike Fuuka, could handle pressure much better if it came down to the wire for her. In fact, she had to admit that a small part of her might even have chosen Minako partially because it would mean stripping her if Yukari answered wrong. Yukari wasn't sure why Minako could sometimes stir these feelings in her, feelings she had never entertained for a member of her own gender before. She supposed it was simply a facet of Minako's highly magnetic personality. People simply wanted to be with her. It was hard not to feel a slight bit of attraction to a person like that. Mitsuru had some of that quality too, but Minako was much more approachable and less intimidating.
"Okay, you all seem settled in now. Let's begin with you, Aigis, since you've been having the most trouble," Mitsuru said. She asked Aigis a question that Yukari recognized from their last test. She could have gotten that one. Unsurprisingly, Aigis answered incorrectly.
"I apologize, Fuuka-san," Aigis said. Fuuka could only grimace as Aigis began to mechanically untie her shoes and then pull them off. Yukari could see white socks on Fuuka's feet. That was first blood, then.
"Alright then, Arisato, you're up next," Mitsuru said. As Mitsuru began to detail the problem she wanted Minako to solve, Yukari couldn't help notice that her senpai was being quite clever. She was making sure that Fuuka and Minako wouldn't be answering on the same round. This, of course, would make it harder for Mitsuru to be stripped, as if those two were on the same cycle, every other round would likely result in clothing loss for her. It occurred to Yukari this meant that she was the wild card in all this. She found it unlikely that Aigis would get many questions right so, if Mitsuru was going to lose, it would be up to Yukari to get it done.
During her musing Mitsuru had finished detailing the problem. Minako prepared to answer.
