go do a little shopping with her mom.

Before Paige could do anything, her mom came after her. "Before you go, I wanted to let you know that there's a sale going on at the mall. Even at some of those stores you like to shop at."

"No way." Paige said kind of interested. She did wanted to buy a new wardrobe, the party outfits she had were all worn once and Paige had a rule of wearing an outfit only once. Of course with her budget that meant mixing existing outfits, they were always a success but she was all out of ideas.

"So I was thinking of shopping together, on my treat." Natalie added the last part to ensure Paige would come with her.

"Oh mom that would be totally awesome." Paige said excited. Perhaps she could even convince her mom to buy new shoes for her.

So Paige and Natalie both gathered their purses and stepped inside Natalie's old car.

"Oh mom, when you're going to buy a new car. This one is way too old." Paige commented as she smelled that same old smell the car had.

"Paige, you don't go buy a brand new car just because it's too old. Cars don't grow on trees."

"Ugh I know mom, but you've got some money left from dad. I mean I wouldn't want to drive around in a car like this."

"That's because you don't own one. And I have to take care of the money properly, I mean I still have your brother and sister at home, they require the money as well. And I always need to set something aside in case the TV or the refrigerator gets broken."

"Yeah, yeah." Paige said uninterested. "But could you at least buy some new clothes for yourself."

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Natalie asked as she looked down at herself. She was wearing one of her favorite summer dresses with a pair of flats.

"Don't take this wrong mom, but those clothes are way too old. You definitely need to get new ones." Paige said pointing at the dress she had several years now.

"Tell you what." Natalie said looking at Paige as she crossed the crossing. "When we get to the mall, you may pick a new outfit for me."

"Sweet." Paige said as she always liked picking clothes for others. But then she saw a car coming from the other direction which her mother didn't see. "Mom, look..." Paige tried to warn her but before she could say anything more the car hit them. After that everything turned black.

How did it work out between Natalie, Paige and the other driver?
