It took nearly a half an hour for Monica's massive meal to be made, but when it finally did arrive, it was a sight to behold. Seven trays, all packed to the brim with all manner of fried, fattening foods. Monica would have smiled at such a bounty, but the long wait had nearly brought her to tears. The pain was at its most intense when her relief had finally arrived. She didn't even give the employee a glance before tearing a burrito from one of the trays, biting away half of it in one gluttonous chomp.
The overwhelming hunger pain dissipated the moment the food entered her stomach. A wave of relief rushed through her as she sent countless calories-worth of food down her waiting gullet. So entrenched in her desire to feed she was that Monica did not immediately notice the second part of the fruit's curse. Anything she ate, the moment it entered her stomach, was instantaneously processed and added to her body as fat. She would never truly get full and would rather quickly start packing on the pounds.
It wasn't until Monica was well into her third plate that the sound of clothing being shredded finally pulled her from her trance. Glancing down, she was horrified to see that her belly had grown dramatically during her meal. It was as round as a standard basketball and squishy to the touch: a sure indication that this was truly fat, not merely bloating. Her tight dress had been unable to contain her expanding waistline, resulting in the embarrassing tear. At a glance, Monica figured she must have gained around fifteen pounds, all of it centered in her stomach.
"Holy hell!" she yelled, shoving the nearest tray away. "T-this can't be real."
She poked and prodded at the flabby mess but it was there to stay. Worse still, the pain from before was already inching its way back. She needed to sate her unending hunger, yet she was terrified of getting any fatter.
What did she prize more? Her figure or her health?
