Celestia and Luna had observed the human world. They felt it had become corrupt and decadent, falling into a destructive cycle that would lead to the eventual ruin of their planet. Moreover they took a dim view of how humanity governed itself, finding that those in charge frequently cared little for those below them. Thus the Princesses decided to take action, for humanity's own good, and possibly any other species it would stumble across with its increasing technology. Before they embarked, they called 6 of their most loyal subjects, 6 ponies who had helped protect the land countless times. They explained their view of the problem of humanity, and after some discussion and preparation, embarked to the human world. They carefully selected a target, one that was perceived as a major power who's influence stretched across the world, a country so big it qualified it as a continent, the United States of America.
The ponies arrives and took it by force. Appearing at a gigantic size and wreathed in magical protections, there was naught the humans could do against them, though they did try. Fortunately Celestia and the others went out of there way to avoid causalities and tried to minimise the collateral damage there sizes could cause. After some struggle it seemed the country had finally surrender to them, though the ponies knew it wouldn't be that easy...
