Twilight had come to Canterlot castle to receive her latest assignment, but could only stare blankly when she received it.
"Celestia do you really think I'm ready?"
Celestia nodded, not missing a beat.
"I have complete faith in you."
"But this is such a big responsibility. I've never handled anything like this before! I mean.. an entire planet?"
Celestia stroked her with a wing.
"And I'm sure you will rise to the challenge, as you have with every other task."
"But why me? Wouldn't you or Luna be far more suited to this?"
Celestia smirked.
"I have my reasons."
"Will they really accept me? What will I do if they don't listen or I just don't know how to handle the situation."
"Then you can contact me. But I'd like you to do so only as a last resort."
"Well if you're sure..."
Celestia pushed Twilight forward with her wings.
"Now come along Twilight, I believe you have an entire planet waiting for you."
Twilight opened her mouth to protest, but she found herself falling through a portal. She was now floating through space, looking down at a tiny blue and green planet.
"Errr.,.. hi?"
Meanwhile back in Canterlot Castle, Luna stepped out of the shadows.
"Do you truly believe she is ready?"
Celestia shrugged.
"I cannot be certain, but we will be there if she needs us or gets into trouble. Her new perspective may be exactly what the humans need and this will give me a measure of Twilight's leadership."
Celestia concentrated, and the portals changed to an image of Twilight and the strange planet. Celestia sat down to watch, as though it was putting on a play for her. She noticed the disapproving and questioning look on Luna's face so continued.
