He knew he would be in a different body but... His mom? Really universe! He stepped out of the bed and went to the bathroom and looked into it to see his new reflection.
He couldn't stop staring, he finally broke away and went back to his new bedroom for the day and was his dad (or rather his husband) still sleeping away. You walked over to him and gently rubbed him awake, he wakes up and sees you then says, "what's wrong, sweetie?" You simply say with your temporary voice, "today, I am your sweetie but tomorrow I might not be" he just stared at you then says, "oh...well good morning Jake."
The rest of the morning you got used to your moms body and even talked to your dad/husband for a good chunk of the morning. Mom woke up a few minutes later not even surprised if the event and you call had breakfast together. You got ready for your mom's work as your husband left for his, giving you a slight pack on the cheek as he does.
