Cautiously Austin poked at the rock again, but it simply glowed back at him. After a few more pokes, Austin determined that it was ok to try and pick it up again. The stone seemed to glow a bit brighter and Austin briefly felt a rather nice tingling sensation go through his body once more, but other than that nothing else seemed to happen. After admiring it for another moment, Austin pocketed it. The glow didn't show through his pants, which was good since he didn't want Jeremy to see it and take it for himself.

Austin headed back inside, entering through the front door and into the living room. Jeremy was on the couch, just casually flipping through the channels and not actually watching anything, which made Austin a bit upset again. Why did Jeremy get to use the TV when he wasn't actually watching anything? It was completely unfair!

Jeremy suddenly noticed his little brother watching him flip through the channels. "What, came back to cry again?" Jeremy asked in a mocking tone.

"No!" Austin protested right away.

"Good. While you're up you can go into the kitchen and get me some ice cream." Jeremy ordered him.

"Why can't you get it yourself?" Austin whined.

"Because if I get up, I'll pick you up and throw you into the kitchen to get it for me anyway. Now hurry up before I do it."

Austin gritted his teeth and went into the kitchen as he was told. If only Austin was bigger and stronger than his brother, he would show that big bully who was boss!

As he thought this, the little stone in his pocket pulsed and glowed briefly brighter. Because it was in his pocket, he didn't notice it at all, but absently he tugged at his collar, which suddenly felt a bit tight to him.
