(As a fan of the old series, I hated to see it die and I added a few chapters as an alternative path and I wish to take this story to that point. I will need help to get this up to speed. This addition originally by Nameless One.)
It was then that Rena stretched a bit and looked down at the ground. Then, slowly, a somewhat mischievous grin appeared on her face. It was times like this that she did one…of those things.
By most accounts, Rena was a fairly normal girl. She like new clothes, romantic comedies, the usual stuff most girls like. However there were two things about Rena that was a bit peculiar, one quirk that was still acceptable by society's standards and another that she had to…keep secret.
As far back as she could remember, Rena always had a fascination with comic books. Probably when she was still growing up, her uncle would show her his collection and read them to her like they were story books. As Rena got older, she would collect back issues and archives in paper backs. Rena also had a bit of artistic talent in her and learned how to draw rather well in a variety of ways but especially the super hero comic book style. The only thing better than super hero comic books would be if she could be a super hero herself. A bit unusual for a girl but still fairly normal. No, it was that other thing that made her truly strange which she guard most carefully from everyone.
For reasons that not even Rena understood, she always had an obsession with water. Unlike most young kids growing up, she loved bath time and her parents had a hard time getting to come out even when she was cleaned. She swam almost every day and would become depressed in the winter because her pool would always freeze over...at least until she got her YWCA pass so she could swim in the indoor pool. She preferred baths over showers simply for the sake of soaking in water and always tried the swimming pools and hot tubs if she ever had to travel and needed a hotel to stay at. Some of her friends joked that if she kept swimming as much as she did, she might grow gills; even though she would laugh, personally, she thought that would be awesome. And of course, no matter what, she would never, ever let anyone know she was secretly an Aquaphile; after all, it would be rather embarrassing if anyone knew she sometimes got aroused while swimming.
Of course, this obsession had very little of an outlet...that is, until she discovered the internet in all of its corrupting glory. Looking around Rena discovered the concept of "water inflation" and immediately fell in love with the idea. It was one thing to be IN water; what could be better than for water to be INSIDE her? She already had a Deviant art account but using another one under a different name and no personal information, she would soon find herself drawing tons of water inflation pictures under a slightly different art style to hide her tracks, earning numerous page views and several friends with the same fetish. She would even draw herself blissfully undergoing the said inflation, though for the sake of being anonymous, she always drew herself as a white-furred tiger with black hair instead of her usual orange and red self. After all...she didn't want to admit this to anyone in real life...
Though as much fun as drawing and reading about water inflation was, Rena's heart ached with the desire to actually experience it. Growing bulging bellies, massive mammaries, bubble butts, a combination of two or all three or getting large all over; it didn't matter as long as she was filled with water, beautiful water. Even having proportions that were completely impossible and caused brief immobility sounded wonderful as long as she could drain herself later.
Still, pictures and interactive stories ( XD ) were her only outlet and the internet was the only way she could connect with others with minimal flaming. Logging out of her main account and logging into her fetish account, Rena was quite disappointed to find out there were no new pictures...at least no new water inflation pictures. Maybe if she formed an art club that encouraged that kind of stuff...
Sighing, Rena got up and decided a nice bath would make her feel better; after all, she actually forgot to take one last night, of all the things that could have happened. Filling her tub until it was just the right temperature, Rena disrobed and dipped herself inside, feeling every part of her relaxing as she soon had everything except her hair submerged. Sighing loudly, Rena couldn't help but think this was the best....well...almost the best....
===========================
After about thirty-five minutes, just when the tub was starting to get a bit too cold for her, Rena got out and dried herself, throwing some clothes on her, though something bothered her. Feeling around her face, she realized there was some soap she forgot to scrub off. Ugh, how irritating! Nothing is worse than having unwashed soap on one’s face! Normally, Rena would have just used whatever was left from her bath but, of course, that already drained out; still, no use fussing about things you can’t change. Rena let the sink run just enough to produced mildly warm water and pulled the drain, then proceeded to wash her face gently, being sure to get every washed. After she was sure that she didn’t have any soap left on her, Rena grabbed a towel and dried her face off and was just about to pull the plug on the sink drain when she saw something quite odd. Right there, in the sink, was a little bit of water forming a…column? No, wait a minute; if she looked closely enough, it vaguely resembled a female figure, a bit exaggerated in the hips and breast area. Rena rubbed her eyes and looked again. Still there; had her mind finally snapped?
“Hello.” A tiny voice said. This caused Rena to step back in shock. Who was speaking?!? Was it…the water? No, that can’t be, right?
“Don’t be afraid, I’ve come to offer you a gift in exchange for a service to help your fellow man.”
“W-wait…are you talking through the water column?” Rena said, looking around a bit. If this was a dream, it felt very real.
“No, I’m speaking THROUGH the water column. My name is L’acquaser. I am a water spirit.”
“A….water sprit?” Rena asked, stepping forward a bit. She certainly wasn’t expecting this. Perhaps if she wasn’t anxious from fear, she might have been a bit more excited about this.
“Yes. See, I sense unusual thoughts from this house. While I’m not telepathetic, there is very little about water that we do not know and I have sense that you are a woman who loves water, far more than any other mortal. In exchange for a service, I’m willing to give you a gift.”
“What…kind of gift?” Rena asked, not sure what a water spirit…that is what it called itself, right?...could ever offer her.
“Why, your desire to fill yourself with water, of course.”
This certainly got Rena’s attention. Did it just offer to give her the power of water inflation?!? She would do ANYTHING for that!
“You mean you’ll give me the ability to perform water inflation on myself! Whatever it is, I’ll do it!” Rena said, tail wagging furiously. If this wasn’t a dream, then this certainly was the best moment of her life!
“I appreciate the enuthasim but first I am required to explain the conditions. In exchange for your heart’s desire, you must use the power of water in order to fight injustice.”
“You mean, like a superhero? That’s like giving me two gifts!” Rena said, having trouble controlling her excitement.
“Well…yes, but please understand this is a serious undertaking and should not be taken lightly…”
“Yeah, yeah, with great power comes great responsibility. I accept already!”
“But….well…I suppose I can give it to you early if you think you are ready….” The water figure said, holding out smooth, undetailed arms. From its “hands”, a ball of blue light gently floated towards Rena until it sunk inside her chest, a cool sensation billowing inside of her until it was complete gone, leaving Rena with a strange, yet wonderful, power flowing within her.
“So, now what?” Rena asked, anxious to see what she can do now.
“Well, I wasn’t expecting this, but your services are needed already. If you could just draw up some water in that bathtub of yours….maybe about three inches.”
Rena nodded, eagerly plugging her tub and turning on the water. She wasn’t sure what was about to happen but she knew it was going to be awesome. Super hero powers and water inflation? What could be better than that? After Rena quickly got some water inside her tub, not even bothering to adjust the temperature, Rena turned around, waiting for more instruction.
“If you believe you are ready, simply stand inside the tub, place a fist on your chest and concentrate into becoming a great warrior of justice.”
