Kris’ eyes fluttered open. She rolled to her side and looked out the window. Rain, definitely not the kind of weather to take down her first gym. No, if she was going to get her first gym badge, it would be a bright, sunny day. She could afford to stay in. She pulled the blanket over herself.
“Chikori!”
Sitting up, Kris looked over and saw a Chikorita standing at the side of her bed.
“You should probably go back to him,” she said, hugging her pillow. “He’s probably worried about you.”
“Chiki!”
“Hmm?” She ran her hand through her hair. “Is something up?”
“Chi!”
Kris sighed and swung her feet off the edges of the bed. “Okay then. Let’s see what’s got you riled up.” She dropped her feet into a pair of fuzzy slippers. Stretching out her arms, she followed he pokemon down the hall.
“Ethan’s room?” Kris asked. “I don’t know. I shouldn’t barge—“
The Chikorita ran behind her legs and pushed her into the room.
Ethan’s eyes widened as he watched a massive figure stumbled in. The giant girl’s blue hair was unmistakeable. “K-Kris? Oh, gosh… she’s huge.” He ran over back to the edge of the bed.
