Silver sighed as she jogged along down the hiking trail. She was glad she had managed to find herself an apartment that was relatively near a forest like this one for her evening jogs. She stretched her arms up over her head and slowed to a stop as she reached a split in the path and looked around a bit. Normally she went to the right since the left was a dead end but today she felt like having a bit of a shorter run that normal. She turned and started down the left branch of the path until she came to the little grotto that lay at the end.
Silver smiled a bit to herself and walked up to the water's edge stooping down and dipping her fingers into it. She should really come here more often. With the tree settled in the middle of the small pond there was something just tranquil about the place. A few fireflies danced lazily overhead as the sun dipped lower on the horizon. She was just about to go when she noticed a soft glow at the base of the tree.
