Linda's head rolls down a gentle slope and falls directly into a foxhole. You hear a soft "Ow!... Heeey!" and quickly rush over to the hole, Jane following close behind with Ramona taking up the rear.
"Linda, are you alright?!" You call down the hole, unable to see her due to how dark it was in there.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Probably a little better than fine! Guess what I found?" She called back.
Jane moves past you and reaches in, having the longest arms of the three of you. She searches around for a second before laying her hands on something. She gets a confused look, followed by one of incredulousness. "I don't believe it!" She utters softly.
"What? What is it?" Ramona asks, trying to get a better view.
Jane pulls her hand out and you all gasp. Clutched in her palm is the second blade! "Wow, I didn't expect that!" You exclaim, examining the small ornate weapon.
"Your welcome!" You hear Linda call from inside the fox hole, then adding "You can repay me by getting me out of here!"
Jane hands Ramona the blade and reaches deeper into the hole. "I think I've got you." She says, pulling her arm back out. You all scream as you see Jane pull out Linda's long and straight hazel hair, still attached to her scalp, but with the rest of her head not attached to it!
"Well, do you have me or not? If you do, quit stalling and pull me out of here!" Linda commands, getting a little impatient.
"Uh, I do have a hold of you... Just not all of you!" Jane says, reaching into the hole a third time while handing you Linda's skull cap. After a few seconds she gives a short "Aha!" And withdraws her arm, along with Linda's head.
"Aw! My hair! The stupid blade must've cut it all off!" Linda shouted, catching sight of the hairy wad you were holding.
"Uh, I think a little more than that was cut off..." Jane said, looking at the top of Linda's head.
"Well, captain cryptic, mind telling me what you mean?" Linda snarkily responded.
"Linda, your whole scalp just got cut off. I can see your brain, hun." Jane informed her.
Linda is silent for a long time, her eyes going through a complex range of motions, before she simply asked "Really?"
"Yeah."
Linda thinks for a moment more, then instructs her "Take it out."
You are all taken aback by this. "Are you so sure about that? We have no idea what kind of damage that could do!" Ramona cautioned "and your last brilliant plan got you thrown down a hole!"
"My last brilliant plan got us the second blade!" Linda responded "besides, I'm sure that if I can get friggin' DECAPITATED and suffer no ill effects then the blade is safe enough to do this!" She reasoned.
Jane seemed to agree, as the next thing she did was reach in and pull Linda's squishy pink brain out of her skull. She held it in front of her, allowing Linda to look over every crease of it. "This. Is. AWESOME! I'm literally looking at my entire collective consciousness! This is so meta!" She exclaimed. "Wait, if I put my brain into someone else's head, will I get control of their body?!"
