While enlarging or shrinking your bits or those of others sounds like great fun, you can’t help but find your attention drawn to next section: “Part Multiplication”.
As it turns out this section really doesn’t have much of anything to do with math... body part xeroxing would probably be a better name for it, as both spells that catch your eye here have everything to do with duplicating body parts, the difference between the two is how they do it. Sprout Body Part allows you to grow a body part you’ve recently seen or are familiar with on a surface. If it’s a living thing, the body belongs to whatever, or whoever it grew on. If it’s an inanimate object it belongs to you by default, but you can choose a person or creature nearby to have it belong to instead.
The other spell does nearly the same thing, in fact, it’s just a variation of the first, the key differences are that its almost instant, requiring less than a second for the body part to grow into being, and the body part manifests in the palm of your hand not attached to anything... the book warns you should have your palm facing down and away from anything important for larger body parts, such as: arms, legs, and bits of large animals. To drive home this point the book shows a man crushed under the ass of an elephant... it doesn’t look like a pleasant way to go, to say the least.
As for who owns the part, it belongs to you, but you can choose when it manifests if it will switch owners to the first living thing it’s attached to, or just belongs to you period. As for attaching the part to things, the spot where it should attach to a body is sticky/magnetic... in the sense that it sticks to everything, but at the same time can be pulled back off.
The incantations are: “crescere-corporis-parte” and “partum-corporis-parte”.
Do you make use of the spells or keep skimming through the book?
