Of course, Romeo and Juliet is a staple of high school drama departments. You walk into Ms. Hanson's office after school and drop your bag behind her desk. She looks up from her computer.
"Ah, there you are. I know this is hard but you can get the billing as the lead, so that's gotta count for something." Ms. Hanson said. "And you're a true Shakespearean actor. Back in his day, men played the parts for women."
"I guess." you said. "But Shakespearean actors didn't have to deal with kids who make fun of them."
"Sit down, and let me go get something." she said, leaving the room.
You plopped down in a seat and sighed. This was going to be so embarrassing. A few minutes later, Ms. Hanson returned along with two other girls from the play. Suzy, who was playing Montague's wife, and Holly, who was in stage crew and was in charge of the props.
"Okay, Ross. I explained the predicament to them, and they've agreed to not make fun of you." Ms. Hanson said.
"I find it really admirable. Katherine wouldn't want anyone else but you in the role." Suzy said.
"And if anyone wants to make fun of you for doing it, we'll beat them up." Holly said.
"Thanks you guys." you said.
"Anyway, if you don't want to get made fun of, you need to be a passable girl." Suzy said.
"Which is why we're here, so we can help Ms. Hanson turn you into one!" Holly said.
"Oh boy..." you said.
"Where to start? Because it'll take a lot to make you look like a girl. We're lucky you're pretty thin." Suzy said.
"I think you should start with his..." Ms Hanson started.
