This choice: An previous unknown older sister? • Go Back...Chapter #4Hallucination by: Huit You blinked a bit, the florescent lighting blinding you for a bit. Last thing you remembered was... two figures. Doctors. That's right. You were in a car accident. And... you couldn't quite remember what remember what had happened after that, but clearly you had blacked out after that. Things were still really blurry, so you rubbed your eyes, trying to make out anything. The walls were plain, white with nothing in particular on them. You attempted to look elsewhere, but it was all blurry still. Then, you see a figure enter. From the look of it, the figure was female.
Someone that looked familiar, yet unfamiliar. Squinting a bit, the details became more clear. She looked like a younger version of your mother, much like Tabitha. But she also looked older than Tabitha. Maybe if Tabitha was your age, she would have looked like this.
"Who... are you?" You asked confused.
The girl looked straight into your eyes, as if piercing into your soul.
"I'm you." She said simply.
"Me? What do you mean?"
She walked closer, looking rather emotionness. "I'm what you could have been, but what you'll become now."
"What does that mean? I'm not a girl."
"I guess you're not. But I am, before you lived and I died. I'm your older sister... twin sister."
"I don't have a twin sister..."
"We were supposed to be twins, before you killed me."
A sudden flash of memory came, where you overheard your parents had said how glad you were around despite birth complications. Then another one, of Tabitha taking the name of their first daughter in memory of her.
"You're Tabitha then?" You asked.
She smiled. "Yes. And so will you be."
Memory flash again, back to the hospital when the doctors were talking to you. Something about complications... that you were now now in the body of Tabitha. You began to panic again.
"No... no, that's not possible!"
The girl that was Tabitha then handed you a mirror, and you looked into it. The reflection of the white light blinded you for a brief moment, before revealing to you not your face, but Tabitha's.
---
You open your eyes again, once again seeing the white ceiling. It wasn't blurry this time around, and you hear the beeping of medical equipment.
"That was a weird dream..."
Attempting to get up, your muscles felt sore and weak as if you haven't moved for a while. "How long was I out" you wondered, as you attempt to look around. Immediately something was wrong, as long blonde hair fell into your vision. "No... this has got to just be a prank right? There's no such thing as a brain transplant!"
Pulling at your hair for a moment, hurried to get up, despite all your muscles feeling sore. In your panic you pulled off some cords attached to you, a loud continuous beep activating. You didn't care though, you just wanted to see a reflection. Your reflection. Just something to break the illusion that you somehow ended in your little sister's body.
There was nothing to break that illusion however, as you faced the window of your hospital room. Though it was a window you could see through, your reflection was clear as day... that being, not your reflection. The reflection of your sister, right there, staring at you, scared and confused. Reflection your emotions right back at you. As you were about to break down and cry, you here a rush of footsteps and the door opening in a hurried fashion.
You see indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
