Make Jessica go play outside (no phone or ident...

“Now you go outside and play in the yard while we decide whether we should contact your parents about your bratty behavior, young lady” said Mrs. Bradley as she too easily pushed the much smaller girl out the door and on to front porch of the house.

“You can’t just lock me out here, wearing this!”, yelled Jessica at the front door, but even her voice sounded tiny and adorable, like a child’s. This was utterly mortifying to her, having been mistaken for a minor on occasion before and now look to the entire world like a pretty young girl in her Muppets shorts, tight pink Barbie top, and children’s sneakers.

With one last “Hrmph!”, Jessica kicked the door in anger.

This elicited a loud, “Jessica! Go play on the swingset until we tell you to come back inside. Do you hear me?” said Mrs. Bradley in a threatening tone. Jessica then timidly walked down the stairs into the yard. Looking back, she saw that all three of the bigger women were eyeing her menacingly from a front window.

Meekly, she sat down and started to swing on one of the two seats of the swingset. As the chain swayed her back and forth, higher and higher, she considered her next move. “I need to get back inside Mrs. Bradley’s house and get my things”, worried Jessica, “On the other hand, maybe I can find a way into my house and change into some of my clothes instead playing along with these crazy ladies like I’m some little girl they can push around.”

As Jessica swung and swung, pondering what to do –
