"Hey, doing laundry, too?" An unknown girl asked Lauren.
"Um, yeah. didn't pack enough for the whole trip, so I gotta get these things clean." Lauren played along.
"Yep. same here. Though, I wished my parents wouldn't be so eager to change plans in the middle of a trip. Now we're spending an extra few days out of town, and I'm out of clean clothes." the girl explained.
"That explains why I don't know you. See, I'm here with my cheer squad on our way to the nationals." Lauren explained.
"Wow, that's huge! How exciting. Tell your squad I wish them luck." the girl said, dumping her clothes into the machine next to Lauren.
"Thanks. I'm Lauren by the way."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Lexy."
The girls hugged, and Lexy noticed the Kate's clothes on the floor.
"Did I drop those? Silly me, I'm clumsy like that." Lexy said, picking them up.
Lauren wanted to stop her, but it was too late. Kate, likewise, was powerless to stop Lexy from tossing her remaining clothes into the washing machine. They both inwardly kicked themselves when Lexy closed the door.
"You know what? You don't look like you're washing much. Why don't you toss those in with mine? We can split the expense and save some money. What do you say?" Lexy asked.
Lauren thought for a second, and wasn't sure she should trust this stranger. On the other hand, it would give her and Kate an excuse to look through the pile of laundry and take out the shirt and shorts that were now mixed in there.
"Sure." Lauren answered.
Lauren then transferred all of Kate's clothes into Lexy's machine before throwing in detergent and starting the machine.
"Looks like I'll see you in 45 minutes." Lexy said.
Lauren nodded, and both girls walked out of the room, leaving Kate naked and alone in the laundry room. It was going to be a long 45 minutes!
However, right before Kate was going to leave the room to find Lauren, the door opened!
