You couldn't believe it and you even wipe your eyes before you take another look. There was no mistaking it, Specter was no monster, he was a human no bigger than you were. He was wearing a black cloak and what looked like a Taskmaster mask as he panted and ran away carrying what looked like a bag that was the same color as a starry night. It would be impossible for it to hold all that money in the vault, even if said money were human size, unless the bag was magic.
"What the heck?" you ask. "That's Specter. Specter was panting and looking around as he heard Ripper barking coming from the vent. "Great," complains the bank robber. "Now they've got a fenrir. "Terrific." Specter pulls on his cloak and suddenly becomes invisible as you look on. "Unbelievable," you say. "He must be a wizard. But why would he steal? What a waste." Specter runs to the side of the wall to hide, but you knew where he was and nod your head. "Come on Neil. Compared to Dracula, this guy should be a piece of cake." As Specter is trying to inch away, you run up to him and tear off his invisibility cloak as he screams.
Specter looks you in the eyes and gasps. "Specter I presume." You say. "Wh-What are you doing here?" asks Specter. "I just hitched a ride on my wife. Quite frankly, I don't trust Bona. Give yourself up and you might not get eaten." However, Specter just punches you in the face and tries to run. You wipe your mouth and then toss one of your shoes into an alarm to make it sound off and then tackle Specter to the ground. In the process, a roll of skulls (monster currency) is knocked out of the bag. The bills are the right size for monster currency, so the bag was magic. So that was how Specter was able to clean out the vault without anyone knowing what happened.
"I gotta say," you say as you hold Specter down. "You have balls for stealing from monsters. Don't know how you intend to spend all that cash though. Not all monsters are exactly human friendly." However, Specter reaches into his back and takes out a knife and nearly takes your hand off to force you to let go before he runs again. Suddenly Specter falls back and you start to tumble yourself when you hear a shaking noise. There were exactly five monsters coming forward and from the sound of it, two of the monsters were abnormally tall and one of the monsters was some kind of feral beast rather than a sentient being.
Maggie, Bona, Ripper, Irma and Jolene were rushing forward to catch Specter from the other side of the bank. "Damn you Bona!" yells Maggie. "That stupid dog of yours probably alerted Specter we were onto him. Why did you bring that thing with you anyway?" Bona takes out a hand gun and clicks it. "Shows what you know Kitty Cat," she says. "Now that Specter's scared, he'll make a foolish mistake and.. BANG! BANG!" Maggie gets on all fours to run ahead as Bona is thinking up how to kill Specter. If only they knew they were dealing with a human.
Irma stops to catch her breath as Ripper runs past her. "I'll... I'll be right there Mag... oh, my back... ouch." Jolene smiles as she runs alongside Bona. "Just watch junior," says Bona to Jolene. "You get to see a genuine execution in progress. "Awesome." Says Jolene as the basilisk giantess shows her teeth.
At this time, you're still running after Specter. "Come here Specter!" you yell. "You're going to the slammer!" Specter reaches into his magic back and tosses several caltrops on the ground as you step on them and growl in pain. You take off your jacket and throw it in Specter's face to make him fall to the ground. Before Specter could grab anything else from his back, you grab him in a headlock and make him grunt.
Suddenly you heard quakes and see a shadow, a monster was coming from around the corner, but which one...
