Hayley sighed then said, "I still don't like it, mom. I feel as if I am betraying him by not saying anything as I watch him 'die' and become someone else."
"There is nothing I can do to reverse it, dear." Patiently, mom replied. "What good would it do if we told him he is slowly changing into a girl and a witch for life? He would try to fight it but it would be in vain."
Hayley teared up. "Is there anything we can do?"
Mom managed a small grin. "We need to make certain Mel or Hannah don't push his buttons too much in the next thirty days." Softly, she said. "If they get him frustrated, the changes could accelerate and that will not be good for anyone."
Hayley sighed. "Will we be sending him to Witchbloom?"
Mom nodded. "We will be sending 'her' to Witchbloom." she corrected. "Still, if it makes you feel better, I will call Elvira and see if a way had been found to reverse this."
Hayley nodded. "Please do. I would not be able to live with myself if we let this happen and there was a way to stop it."
Hours later, mom called Hayley into her study. "I talked to Elvira; she knows what had happened."
"Is there a way to reverse John's slow transformation?" Hopeful, Hayley asked.
