Chapter #3Another Direction by: Unknown For the purposes of the story; each new chapter in this thread will be in the third person.
Having just gotten home from work, Natalie Harrison walked into the house to find John holding a large book in his arms as Megan and Harry stood over his shoulders. Realizing which book it was, she said, "Those girls no better than to leave that book lying around."
Walking into the room, Natalie grabbed the book and said, "I was wondering where that book was; it's due at the library by tomorrow."
Looking at his mom, in confusion, John said, "Who checked out a book on magic?"
"Hannah checked it out a few weeks ago for a school book report."
Glancing at Natalie, Harry said, "How come there's nothing written on the pages, Ms. H?"
"Because it's a 'secret' book that the author wrote with some special ink." Sighing, Natalie said, "This way only determined witches, or young girls, can read it."
"Whatever." Clearly not buying Natalie's explanation, Harry shrugged and said, "I've got to go meet Mel for our school project; being parents to a fake baby seems so boring."

While Megan and John went out back to swim in the pool; Harry went upstairs to Mel's room. Walking into the room, he saw Mel sitting on her bed cradling a baby in her arms. Looking up at Harry, in annoyance, she said, "Where were you, Harry? You were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago."
"Relax Mel; we got caught up at the beach." Sighing, Harry said, "Just because your leg is broken doesn't mean I can't have some fun."
"Incredible; I never knew you were so lazy and irresponsible with your schoolwork." Getting up, Mel said, "We're supposed to look after this baby together; but I seem to be doing all the work."
"It's a fake baby Mel; how much attention does it need?"
"Oh my god, I can't believe you just said that." Scoffing, Mel said, "With that attitude, you wouldn't last one day as a mother."
"Then it's a good thing I'm not a women; otherwise I'd have an immature daughter like you."
