Looking into the foxes eyes as another tear ran down her cheek, it occurred to you that you were staring at her weirdly, but you could tell she was serious and not telling any lies, but part of you wasn't sure you were ready for those old memories to return, not yet at least. You sigh a little and reach up to touch the paw on your cheek, feeling the damp, but soft fur against your skin, giving it a light squeeze, "My memory of you may be gone or hidden, but perhaps......." you hung there for a second, she sniffled a little and looked at you "...yes?" you had her attention now, "hmmm, maybe we can try anew? start from scratch?" you asked, looking at her face, waiting to see what she'll say. Suddenly her face seemed to brighten a little, accompanied by more tears now, but tears of excitement now, "yes... I think we can do that, as long as you're ok with it, I never want to keep someone who doesn't want to stay" she said, moving closer to you, her snout almost touching your nose now as she looked deeply into your face, awaiting your response.
You gave her a nod and a small smile as you took her paw in your hand and held it which made her smile too, she leaned down and touched her forehead to yours and sighed softly, closing her eyes, the sudden feeling of something snaking its way up your chest made you jump a little, but you relaxed once you saw it was just her tails, coiling around you and pulling you closer to her body. Softly you heard her murring and letting out soft purr like noises as she held you, seemingly happy you chose to stay with her again. "Does this mean you'll stay here? inside the community we have set up here?" She finally spoke, opening her eyes and searching your face. "We have enough food and supplies to stay for a few years at least, but if you want to leave we can, I just want to be with you again" she said, brushing your nose with hers as she awaited your decision.
