Chapter #4

Boring ol' Non-fiction

You turned your head over to another section, one you hadn't even considered yet, the non-fiction section. The books there are pretty boring so it was safe to assume that not many people would go near there. You used the little amount of power left in the drone to fly over to the book shelf and landed down on the top shelf.

You got down from the drone and noticed that it had completely lost power so traversing this enormous world would be one hundred times more difficult. You then took the time to look at the books that you'll be living by. "Catcher in the Rye, Heart of Darkness, Lord of the flies...", you mumbled listing off all of the books on this shelf. You had heard of most of these but figured that they wouldn't really go flying off of the shelf so living up here should be fine. After doing some looking around you found that there was a space between one of the books and the right side of the shelf. It was big enough for you to squeeze through so you made your way in.

Behind these books you could see that all of them were pushed all the way to the back of the shelf except for the one closest to you, Life of Pi. Behind this book was a hole in the shelf which would most likely be your way in and out of here, in fact you have some rope that is probably long enough to reach down to the floor so you can do some exploring around the library.

You spent some time preparing your campsite in the empty space next to next to Life of Pi, now you were in a position where most people won't even come near you and you had a pretty safe place to sleep; you even set up the rope to get down behind the shelf. And with all this work done you felt that it was a good time to take another rest. You laid down in your sleeping bag and began to rest until you were interrupted by...
