Chapter #39

Amber decides to buy it

    by: rroll Author IconMail Icon
Daisy was the last to hold your car before she placed it back on the shelf, which was a relief. You felt that there was a chance you'd be able to avoid a predicament that seemed all but certain a few moments prior. To be safe, you remained still and stayed in the position they'd already observed you in.

You watched the three goddesses through the taxi's plastic windshield, which was now marred with oils from their hands. You were occasionally distracted by the fingerprint that partially interrupted your clear view, but you were able to follow the women during their period of indecisiveness. Views of colossal midriffs became views of titanic faces as they each took turns to look at the different toy options. All you had to do was stay still until they lost interest.

Unfortunately, you made too much of an impression to be forgotten. Your view was suddenly engulfed by the face of the pale goddess, whose stale breath rushed across the shelf and into the matchbox car.

Amber bit her bottom lip as she appeared to be thinking, then her hand surfaced from under the horizon. The pads of her index finger and thumb smushed against the side of the taxi before you were overcome by a sensation of weightlessness. Not a moment later, her massive eye began to scrutinize you once more.

"Alright, I'll just get him this one." Amber announced. "It's crazy how life-like he is in there."

Before you could react, she lowered the car, which caused your stomach to feel like it was in your head, then Amber's fingers coiled around its plastic-metal until you were in twilight.

It was difficult for you to tell how much time had passed from when Amber sealed you in her fist to when you saw the face of the cashier. You were tossed around relentlessly and subjected to intense humidity, you had little ability to keep track.

The beeps of the cash register stirred you from your daze and made you realize that you were laying under the steering wheel. You knew you needed to return to your pose, but you were also in desperate need of a respite. To your misfortune, you decided to take it.

"What the hell...?" Amber seemed to thunder under her breath. "Where's the driver?"

You slid along the floor of the taxi as she shifted it around, until she kept it still.

"Whatcha doin down there? Don't tell me I broke you already?" She cooed with an underlying tone of annoyance.

The distinct sound of metal bending made your hair stand on end before you saw Amber's fingernail prying open the driver's side door. A rush of fresh air exploded into the taxi the moment the door swung open.

You had no time to comprehend the shift in pitch before you started sliding. The only thing you saw was an pale pink expanse before you started to freefall; a split second later you slapped against a warm and damp surface.

You eventually open your eyes to an alien environment, only to feel your eyes sting as the salty liquid on your face rushed into them.

"Ah, fuck!" You shout out loud, peeling your face from the soft surface to rub the pain away. That only seemed to make it worse at first, but eventually you felt relief.

As your vision began to clear you began registering the patterned ridges and swirls that were all around you. Light was shimmering off the surface in the same way it would on a golden plain of wheat on a bright summer day. It was a distracting sight until you felt the thickness of the grooves you were sat upon. It was in that moment that you realized you were dumped into this woman's palm.

"There's...no way." Amber boomed, sending a seismic gust of steaming air against your face.

You knew she'd seen you move and that there was no point pretending you were a toy. You could only pray that the goddess would have mercy for the tiny man in the palm of her hand.
